It wasn’t that White men didn’t date outside of their race, after all a large percentage of White men interracially date and marry Asian women.

Source: Tips of Divorce. Once, I was at a bar with friends when two white men approached me. One was a guy who was interested in talking to me, and the other was acting as his wingman. While white men are not the only group to hold racial biases and stereotypes against black women, they tend to be the least informed on the racialized and gendered issues that black women endure. White men navigate society with relative ease while black women are teetering on the precarious margins of race and gender that they do not have the privilege to ignore.
Our race and gender affects the way we carry ourselves, and this uncomfortable mindfulness is something that white men simply cannot relate to. A white man must be willing to work toward a better understanding of how race and gender intersect differently for everyone, and he must also be prepared to speak out against the injustices that their partners will endure.

Latrese Williams is one such black traveler. When Ms. Williams goes out in Chicago or pretty much anywhere else in the United States, she said, she often feels ignored by men who seem to barely register her existence. These polar reactions occur, she said, because she is black. Williams said in her home in the Monti neighborhood of Rome. What No One Tells You About Dating a White Guy
The book, Judice said, is not intended to dismiss black men as loving, suitable partners. Black females begin to outnumber black males by age 16, Judice writes, partly as a result of high mortality and incarceration rates that Judice said result from systematic discrimination against black males. Black men are also twice as likely as black women to marry outside their race, she writes.
Black women are, in fact, the least likely group of women to marry outside their race. Judice first became interested in the topic after spending time with black families around her in Evanston and nearby North Shore communities.

Despite this, Judice said race was not an important factor for most of the people she interviewed for the book. Black women are the only group of women in America who cannot take for granted that if they seek marriage to a black man that there will be an ample supply of available men from which to choose.
It is almost like the plight of black women looking for eligible partners is the elephant in the room.

Unfortunately, I was right. Very simply put: Virtual dating has opened up the opportunity for non-Black men to fully explore what dating a Black woman is all about. This comes even if their family is racist, even if their mothers would never approve, and even if they have no intention of actually, legitimately considering a Black woman for a relationship. And some non-Black people, white men especially, are capitalizing on exoticism behind closed doors.

A kind, smart man who moves me, might be able to rock with me, regardless of race or ethnicity.
